Occupational Safety & Health

The Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) group promotes and supports a safe and healthy work environment at the UM College Park campus and satellite facilities by providing leadership, program development, training and compliance assistance for faculty, staff and employees. Our services include outreach and consultation services for hazard identification, assessment and control; training; development of safe work practices; PPE recommendations; project planning review and accident and injury prevention. Our staff includes professionals with expertise in the areas of Laboratory Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Indoor Air Quality, Ergonomics and Regulatory Requirements.
